40Daez was born and raised in the small town of Hendersonville, NC. He was raised in a Christian home and dedicated his life to Christ at a young age. Although he grew up spitting rhymes with his cousins he didn't think a hip hop career was in his future. When he graduated high school he was accepted to Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where he studied Business Managment and Computer Information Systems. He was focused on school but spent a lot of his free time playing basketball. After graduating he was offered a job in his hometown. Trying to be realistic he moved back home and decided to focus on his career in the "real world."

Although music was always on his mind he focused on building his career. Because of his commitment to God he didn't feel comfortable rapping about the same stuff that was on mainstream radio. He felt called to do something different. In 2011 40Daez felt God speak to him. After listening to artists like Lecrae and Trip Lee he finally found what he was looking for. With a pen in one hand and paper in the other 'Start Livin for Christ' came to life. This song would ultimately change his life. 40 along with TMar would embark on a journey that gave them a purpose. Together they formed B.A.B.

"I see a generation that is lost. Broken homes, broken spirits, lost Faith, selfish living...it's all about me, me , me. I want to remind people that God is still here and is waiting on us. Life is a gift and we need to use this gift to glorify the Lord in everything we do. Instead of worrying about living for today, worry about living for eternity."
