B.A.B. MUSIC
TMar
God gave TMar a vision and he feels called to use his God-given gifts to bring others to Christ.

TMar was born and raised in Hendersonville, NC.  His love of music comes from his father who is a bass player and in many ways inspired him to learn his first instrument at the age of 7, the drums.  Following in his father’s footsteps he also learned to play bass. At 8 years old TMar was brought before the church to display his gift of music.  With incredible mentors, Hoyt Bynum and Mrs. Sandra Suber, he was taught and led to play piano by ear for church congregations.  Because of his love for God and music he wanted to use his gift to teach others.   Along with the help of Mrs. Sandra Suber he began to direct the youth choir at his church and this helped him gain a better understanding of singing and songwriting. It also allowed him to fully grasp the expressions, feelings, emotions and meanings of songs.  Though God blessed TMar with the gift of ear he felt the need to learn more about the piano.  In junior high he decided to enroll in classical piano lessons to learn how to read music.  This would ultimately be the beginning of his musical identity.

Although TMar loved playing for the church he also studied artists like John P. Kee, Kirk Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and R&B singer Brian Mcknight to develop his own sound.  Being a gifted musician the temptations of mainstream R&B and Hip Hop were at his fingertips but it was not the direction he wanted to pursue.  TMar’s desire was to spread God’s message through his music.  TMar was taught tradition, but he felt that Christian music can be anything.  He began playing for other churches, weddings, banquets, productions and special events.  Although TMar worked different jobs, even pursuing a career as a firman,  music was still a priority.  TMar thanks his family for their influence, never-ending support and unconditional love through his journey.  TMar’s greatest moment in his life was being saved and baptized at the age of 21.  Though he was brought up in the church, he had to find his own spiritual connection with God.  After playing, teaching and producing music for a number of years,  finally in 2011, TMar and 40 formed B.A.B.

"God has a funny way in telling us when we are ready.... he may not come when you want him but he is always there on time!"
